Laser cutting, CNC punching and bending can validate geometry before dedicated tooling, especially for early-stage designs or smaller quantities.
Considered for parts with repeated blanking, piercing or forming operations where tooling improves cycle time and consistency.
Strip moves through successive stations for cutting and forming. It is often suitable for stable, higher-volume parts when tooling investment is justified.
Used for recessed or hollow forms. Draw depth, material flow, thinning, corner radii and intermediate operations require early engineering review.
Brackets, clips, terminals, contacts, shields, covers, reinforcement plates and custom formed components.
Bends, ribs, embosses, louvers, offsets, tabs, flanges and other features subject to material and tooling review.
Tapping, machining, welding, riveting, hardware insertion, deburring, cleaning, finishing and assembly.
Grade, temper, thickness, grain direction, mechanical properties, surface condition and plating requirements can change formability, springback, tool life and final performance.
Inspection methods may include calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin and thread gauges, optical measurement and CMM inspection where appropriate to the feature and agreed requirement.
