Rotating Shaft Design & CNC Machining — Built to Your Spec

Engineering-led design for shafts used in motors, gearboxes and automation. We combine material science, precise machining and strict QC for safe, reliable, efficient performance.

Engineer’s Checklist

  • Material: strength, wear, temperature & corrosion needs
  • Diameter: torque capacity vs. stiffness and deflection
  • Length: critical speed & power transmission
  • Speed & temperature: stress, fatigue and lubricant choice

Machining Considerations

  • Tolerances: fits for bearings/gears/keys
  • Surface finish: low Ra on bearing & seal lands
  • Alignment: concentricity/runout control
  • Balancing: minimize vibration and wear

Example — Small Motor Shaft

  • ● Define power, speed, duty cycle & ambient
  • ● Choose material (e.g., 45# steel / 17-4PH / aluminum) per load & cost
  • ● Set Ø/length, keyway/flat, thread/chamfer; specify fits & finish
  • ● CNC turn/mill → heat treat (if needed) → grind critical lands → balance

What You Get

  • ● DFM feedback on geometry, fits and manufacturability
  • ● QC pack (dimension report, runout, surface finish records)
  • ● NDA-backed confidentiality end-to-end
